Job Description:

The Ammega Group was created by merging the Ammeraal Beltech conveyor business with Megadyne’s power transmission and fluid power business. Both companies were strong on their own, and joined forces in late 2018 under one private equity owner to create AMMEGA.

The products and solutions of the Ammega Group are central to production processes. The Ammega Group products are used in applications in airports, food production, logistics centers, shop floors, and even in your gym or local supermarket. Conveyor belts, power transmission belts and hydraulic hoses are at the very core of many applications you use every day. Globally, we have over 5,000 employees, 25 manufacturing sites, and 150 sales and service locations.

Ammeraal Beltech is one of the world’s leaders in process and conveyor belting, and we are expanding our manufacturing in Atlanta. This expansion of manufacturing capacity is needed to follow the foreseen growth of Ammeraal Beltech in the region. We are going to build a state-of-the art manufacturing plant where the safety of our people and contractors is our number one priority. We are looking for a HR Generalist to build the team by ensuring we hire the right people to deliver the production of goods and services while meeting the safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity targets.

Summary

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with the HR Manager and local team to support the employees and business
  • Develop strategy to identify, retain and develop direct and indirect labor
  • Support regional HR team as needed

Individual accountabilities

  • Support business in all daily duties including safety, staffing, onboarding/offboarding, training, compensation, benefits, employee relations and file maintenance
  • Establish recruiting requirements by utilizing strategic plans and objectives; meeting with hiring managers to discuss needs
  • Provide full cycle recruiting processes to meet various staffing goals across, may include multiple states
  • Administer health and welfare plans for employees
  • Work closely with payroll to help maintain payroll system, employee records and support audit process
  • Help build a great work environment with employee engagement and empowerment
  • At all times, must demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior and personal integrity
  • Establish strong working relationships throughout the company with a customer service oriented philosophy so that people will want to seek out HR for help in working through organizational and people issues

Required Experience:
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree desired, preferably in Human Resources and at least 1 year in a recruitment capacity, and 5 years total experience
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and other online recruiting services (LinkedIn, Handshake)
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office and HRIS report writing
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred, Spanish bilingual a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must be able to work in the US
